So technically I have been on a little “vacation” since we moved.
If you call unpacking (in the rain) and carrying heavy boxes vacation. I also mowed a lawn… and helped my mom clean a house. But that’s sort of easy active work. I start working at the restaurant on Thursday night. I am looking forward to it.
I always said I would never waitress again… then I got a job in the real world. I made, well excuse me, but crap for money compared to waitressing and worked longer hours. I love food and the whole restaurant business (aside from the crappy tips you sometimes get and the lobster juice. ) So I am excited to start back up again. I love cash, don’t you?
So today was spent pinning craft ideas. It made me realize I really need to dig that stuff out.
I also spent the day eating chocolate ganache… from a spoon. Lots of spoonfuls. Wasn’t my fault I had leftovers from my grandmother’s birthday cake. The cake didn’t turn out like the pictures, but it was good.
So was the leftover ganache.
We took the dogs for a walk after lunch so I didn’t feel so bad about my three, er, seven spoonfuls.
I am hoping tomorrow to find my Photoshop stuff so I can get some photos up. So you can see where we live and see my grandmother choking as she tried to blow out all 8 birthday candles. I was laughing too hard to help her.
We are addicted to watching Breaking Bad. Have you seen it? It’s awesome.
I have been playing a lot of Sims 3 since it’s the only software I could find to put back on the computer. It goes really well with Sons of Anarchy Season 3.
I want to ride a motorcycle.
I cried watching the last episode of Desperate Housewives the other night… is that lame? I am going to miss that show so much. 8 years I have been with those ladies… I would have shared my ganache with them.
Then I found out that GCB was cancelled. I loved that show too… c’mon ABC!
Back to my Woodchuck cider and wallowing in ganache.
Oh, you want some ganache too?
Melt 8 oz of dark chocolate with 8 oz of heavy cream for 2 minutes in the microwave. Stir well. Then refrigerate it until it’s thick. Then eat with a spoon… or put it on something like cake if you feel like you need to play by the rules.
